Where Do You Run?

Sermon Note

[Psalm 91:1-2] Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [2] This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.

Peace is not found in CONTROL, it is found in CLOSENESS to God.

[John 15:4] Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.

Peace is found in DWELLING with God.

[Isaiah 43:2a] When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.

The danger of life is REAL, but God is GREATER.

[Psalm 91:5] Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day.

The farther you DRIFT from God, the LOUDER fear becomes.

[Romans 8:38-39] And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow--not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. [39] No power in the sky above or in the earth below--indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Your greatest security is not that life will go SMOOTHLY, it's that God will never LEAVE you.

[Psalm 91:15-16] When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. [16] I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation."

[Hebrews 13:5] Don't love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, "I will never fail you. I will never abandon you."

The safest place in the world is not the absence of DANGER, it is the PRESENCE of God.
