The Lord Reigns
Sermon Note
God is not SHAKEN by what is SHAKING you.
[Psalm 93:1-2 ESV] The LORD reigns; he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved. [2] Your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting.
God is not COMPETING for the THRONE.
[Isaiah 46:9-10] Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. [10] Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.
God has never ONCE panicked about the FUTURE.
[Psalm 93:3 ESV] The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their roaring.
God is GREATER than what is RISING against you.
[Mark 4:39 ESV] And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace! Be still!" And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
The voice of CHAOS is not louder than the voice of GOD.
[Psalm 93:4 ESV] Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, the LORD on high is mighty!
Faith is recognizing God is BIGGER than the STORM.
[Romans 8:31] What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
Fear grows when problems become MAGNIFIED and God becomes minimized.
[Psalm 93:5 ESV] Your decrees are very trustworthy; holiness befits your house, O LORD, forevermore.
The God who holds all power is perfectly GOOD.
