Quiet Strength
Sermon Notes
[Judges 10:1] After Abimelech died, Tola son of Puah, son of Dodo, was the next person to rescue Israel. He was from the tribe of Issachar but lived in the town of Shamir in the hill country of Ephraim.
You don't need to be FAMOUS to be FAITHFUL.
[Psalm 101:6] I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me.
You don't need the SPOTLIGHT to lead well.
[Judges 10:2] He judged Israel for twenty-three years. When he died, he was buried in Shamir.
Lasting impact comes from INTEGRITY.
[Philippians 2:14-15] Do everything without complaining and arguing, [15] so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.
Your strength doesn’t have to be LOUD to be REAL.
Your legacy isn’t built in a MOMENT, it’s built in the MUNDANE.
[1 Chronicles 12:32] From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.
God always honors UNSEEN faithfulness.
[Romans 13:11 NIV] And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
God is looking for people who UNDERSTAND the times.
